Formation:

The club was formed in 2000 when Croydon who had won the League Title and lifted the FA Cup the previous season came under the umbrella of Charlton Athletic.

Honours:

Charity Shield 2000/2001 shared with Arsenal Ladies
Premier League Cup 2004 and 2006
Community Shield 2004
FA Cup 2005

Recent form:

Charlton Ladies have had a great start to the 2006/2007 season winning three out of their first four games losing only to Everton Ladies at home. They have scored 14 goals and have conceded 7 thus far.

They have been unlucky in recent years not to set their hands on the Premier League Title coming second in the 2003/2004 and 2004/2005 seasons both times to Arsenal Ladies.

Youth team opportunities:

Charlton Ladies Football Academy is run by first team coach Keith Boanas with goalkeeping coaching coming from former Addicks number one Pauline Cope who has been capped 60 times for England during her career.

Charlton Women’s Football Academy provides the only FA premier league football apprenticeship for female footballers in England and is designed for students aged 16 and upwards.

Links with Charlton Athletic Football Club:

The women’s team have a strong link with Charlton Football Club and the men have recently launched a brand new website dedicated solely to the clubs feminine side. The Ladies side have been known to play some of their matches at The Valley, home of Charlton Athletic Football Club.
