Arsenal Ladies FC were formed in 1987 by the women's present General Manager and Men's present kit manager Vic Akers.
In their history , 31 major trophies have been won, including 3 domestic Trebles (1992/1993, 2000/2001,2006/2007), 9 Premier League Titles (1992-93, 1994-95, 1996-97, 2000-01, 2001-02, 2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07), 9 FA Women's Premier League Cups (1991-92, 1992-93, 1993-94, 1997-98, 1998-99, 1999-00, 2000-01, 2004-05, 2006-07) and 8 FA Womens' Cups (1992-93, 1994-95, 1997-98, 1998-99, 2000-01, 2003-04, 2005-06, 2006-07).
Arsenal Ladies Football Club also won the Women's UEFA Cup in 2006/2007.
Arsenal Ladies have won the Women's Premier League for the past four years in a row and have cemented their reputation as the dominant force in the domestic women's game in England.
During the 2006/2007 season they won the quadruple of FA Women's Premier League National Division, FA Women's Cup, FA Women's Premier League Cup and UEFA Cup.
Arsenal Ladies Football Academy is run by first team player and England international Kelly Smith and Fred Donnelly.
The Arsenal Ladies Academy's sole aim is to enable players aged between 16 and 19 to combine top class daily football coaching with academic study.
Arsenal Ladies have traditionally enjoyed excellent support from Arsenal Football Club. Vice chairman David Dein is the Ladies Club President and Clare Wheatley, along with Ciara Grant and Faye White, are employed by Arsenal FC solely to develop and co-ordinate the female side of the club.
