- Q. I'm looking for news about soccer and you keep mentioning football, am I in the right place?A. I use both terms interchangeably to mean the same sport i.e. the "football" where players actually use their feet to kick the ball around and into the opponent's goal without the use of shoulder pads or helmets.
In the USA it's soccer, in the rest of the world it's football so I'll cater to both areas and use both terms.
